Step Off the Elliptical

Are you guilty of heading into the club and hitting the same piece of equipment day after day? Choosing a piece of cardio equipment and zoning out while burning calories may seem like a good choice, but is it really getting you where you’d like to be?

When you do the same workout routine over and over, your body gets used to it and it becomes easier. The elliptical might have been challenging when you first started out, but pretty soon your muscles become familiar with this exercise and your body uses less energy (less calories are being burned) to complete the same workout.

So what can you do?

It’s important to keep your body challenged, as well as your mind motivated, in order to achieve better results. However, it can be overwhelming to plan out your workouts, week after week. That’s OK. Leave it to the fitness professionals. After all, that’s what we do!

All you have to do is show up for class. Group fitness is the best way to dial up your motivation, find the fun in fitness, and make the most out of your time. Plus, you’ll be motivated to work harder than if you’d gone at it alone.

New to Group Fitness?

If you feel nervous or uncertain at first, be assured that this is quite normal. Talk to the instructor before class if you have any questions or concerns. You’ll soon find a welcoming atmosphere where the class participants are eager to include you.

The instructor will have everything planned, providing you with a well-balanced workout that includes a warm-up, modifications for all fitness levels, and a cool-down. You’ll find it inspiring and energizing to be surrounded by dedicated, like-minded individuals, who share your struggles and success. You’ll leave class feeling proud of your accomplishments and empowered for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Ready to Start?

Right now, PRO Club is offering multiple different ways to join in for Group Fitness. Try out a class in your own living room with our pre-recorded On Demand videos, or join a virtual live class. You can also join us in person at PRO Club’s Bellevue and Seattle locations..

Now that you’re psyched up and ready to conquer your first class, it’s time to add it to your calendar. Review the class descriptions at PRO Club’s webiste and find a class that sounds interesting and fun. Classes are organized according to the activity.

Looking for more cardio? How about trying indoor cycling in R/DE 45. Want to build strength? Try Barbell STRONG or TRX Total Body. Or if you need to develop more flexibility, try Gentle Flow Yoga or Back to Yoga Basics.

Another great option are enrollment classes. Classes such as Total Body SHRED! and Half Marathon Training are progressive in nature and increase in intensity as your fitness level improves. They’re also great if you have a particular goal in mind and, along with expert fitness coaching, you’ll find an atmosphere of camaraderie and accountability with your fellow participants.
