Everything you Need to Know About CoolSculpting

Have you experienced stubborn fat that just won’t go away – no matter how well you eat or how many spin classes you go to? Say hello to CoolSculpting

CoolScupting is perfect for people who need a little help with stubborn areas that won’t budge. This FDA-approved treatment uses fat-freezing technology to reduce areas of unwanted fat by essentially freezing it away. Plus, CoolScupting is ideal for people on the go because there is zero downtime!

We sat down with our CoolScupting specialist, Grace, at the Med Spa at PRO Medical to find out more about the treatment and how we can sculpt our bodies.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, fat-reduction treatment using cryolipolysis technology.

How long does it last?

The fat loss is in many ways permanent. Your body stops creating new fat cells at adolescence (unless you are on the path to or currently morbidly obese), so once we have rid your body of a portion of existing fat cells, it will not create any for replacement.

Does the Coolsculpting treatment hurt?

Sensations of tugging, pinching, or cramping are pretty typical during the treatment. Afterward, you will just feel sore the way you would from a really intense workout.

How long does the procedure take?

This varies according to the part of the body we are treating, but an average guess would be between three and five hours.

How soon will I see results?

On average, you’ll see results around 3 months.

What areas can be worked on?

  • Chin (double chin)
  • Underarm pocket
  • Back
  • Bra bulge
  • Abdomen
  • Flanks  (“love handles”)
  • Inner and outer thigh
  • Above-the-knee
  • Under-the-glutes (“banana roll”)
