BOTOX® IS KNOWN FOR TREATING WRINKLES, BUT DID YOU KNOW…

BOTOX® or Dysport® is most often used to treat forehead lines, frowns lines and lines around the eyes also known as crow’s feet. However, in the aesthetic medical community Botox® and Dysport® are being used in many other areas, that thought to be safe and effective for:
• TMJ pain
• Gummy Smile
• Brow Lift
• Lip Flip
• Bunny Lines
• Orange Peel/Strong Chin Muscle
• Marionette Lines
• Neck Lift

Masseter Injections: Masseters are the strong muscles in the lower face, which are involved in chewing, teeth grinding and clenching, which contributes to teeth enamel damage as well and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain. By injecting neuromodulator to masseter, we can get relief from grinding, clenching and TMJ pain. By relaxing this muscle, we appreciate a facial slimming effect for as long as your neuromodulator lasts (typically 3 to 6 months).

Treatment of “Gummy Smile. The reason that some of us experience a “gummy smile’, or excessive showing of the gum upon smiling, is due to the activity of the muscle responsible for elevation of the upper lip. By injecting this muscle with small amount of neuromodulator we can temporarily improve appearance of “gummy smile.”

Brow Lift. It takes a small amount of neuromodulator to lift the tail of the brow, resulting in refreshed look and lifting heaviness of the eyebrow. This treatment is a great example where a little goes a long way, implying that only a few units placed strategically to relax appropriate muscle will give a much-desired lift, synonymous with restful and youthful image.

Lip Flip. Relaxation of the muscles around the mouth may temporarily improve wrinkles, known as “smoker’s lines,” as well as evert lips giving a slightly fuller appearance. This is another example of little goes a long way, where a small amount of neuromodulator relaxes the muscle to achieve the desired outcome.

Bunny Lines. Some of us experience lines because of active nose muscles, which when contracts, give the appearance of “bunny lines”. We can treat those with small amounts of neuromodulator.

“Orange Peel”/Strong Chin Muscle. Placing small amounts of neuromodulator relaxes a strong chin muscle and temporarily removes “orange peel” appearance of the chin.

“Marionette lines, or downward projection of the mouth corners due to pull of muscles responsible for a sad look. By treating these muscles with a small amount of neuromodulator, we can relax the downward projection of the corners of the mouth.

“Platysmal band” or neck lift. By injecting neurotoxin into neck bands also known as platysmal band, we can temporarily improve the appearance of neck wrinkles.
