“The key to my success was learning how to eat right for my body.”

It took me three years to lose 35 pounds of the 60 pounds I’d gained during my first pregnancy. I did this by mostly crash dieting over and over again. Then, I gained another 60 pounds during my second pregnancy. This time, it was incredibly hard to lose the excess weight. I didn’t exercise, and I felt tired, sluggish, and winded during just about any activity with my children. My feet and back would ache by the end of the day. I also ate very poorly reaching for anything that was convenient and tasted good. I had little to no time to figure out healthy eating options for myself.

According to my blood work, I was pre-diabetic. After going through the 20/20 LifeStyles program, I’m no longer in that range. I’ve also experience a huge improvement in my energy levels. I no longer have to turn to caffeine or take a nap in the middle of the day. Another side benefit is that I’ve also noticed an improvement in my self confidence and self motivation.

I’d say that the key to my success was learning how to eat right for my body and how to make healthier choices for myself and my family, as well as learning how to be more active. I’m amazed by how much more active we are as a family thanks to the 20/20 LifeStyles program.

My success has been totally about staying active and continuing to exercise. Sometimes finding the motivation to do this is difficult. My personal trainer helped me immensely to stay on track. I’m always asking for new workout tips or routines to make it fun and interesting as well as more challenging. I’ve also found fun activities I enjoy doing that help keep me motivated to exercise.

After the 20/20 LifeStyles program, I feel so much healthier. I just flat out feel good. I see myself in a different light. I see myself living longer and teaching my kids and husband how to eat healthier so that they live longer too. I’m able to enjoy food again in a different way, not as a reward or an addiction, but actually enjoying what healthy food tastes like without missing all the sugar, fat, and salt that I’ve always been used to. Thanks, 20/20 LifeStyles.
