At Home Learning Activities For Kids – Mason Jar Cloud Science Experiment

Materials:

Getting Started:

  1. Pour a little water into the jar. Put the lid on tightly. Leave it for 20 minutes.
  2. Put white chalk in a zip lock bag. Zip the bag shut.
  3. Use your hands to crush the chalk into a powder.
  4. Cut off the neck of the balloon.
  5. Take off the lid of the jar. Put in the chalk powder.
  6. Quickly cover the jar with the balloon.
  7. Put a rubber band around the neck of the jar to keep the baloon streched tight.
  8. press the baloon down with your fist to crush the air. Hold your hand here for 30 seconds.
  9. Take away the baloon. What do you see?
