RECIPE: J.Lo Shake – Home Edition!

For the month of June, we are bringing you one of the most popular shakes of all time at PRO Club! Legend has it the “J.Lo” was officially added to the menu as a nod to the personal trainer who had this blend as their usual order.

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet 20/20 chocolate protein powder
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 5-6 chocolate covered espresso beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 5-6 ice cubes

1.) Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth.

Now, if you currently do not have access to these ingredients at home (such as myself) – I did the painstaking task of recipe experimentation, trial and error, and taste testing for you all. Here are some variations using ingredients you might have at home!

Recommendations for alternative ingredients:

20/20 Chocolate Protein Powder:
20/20 Vanilla Protein powder + 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans:
1 Tbsp chocolate chips
-or-
5-6 chocolate covered almonds
-or-
1-2 squares dark chocolate plus 6oz water + 2oz leftover coffee
-or-
8oz water + 1 tsp instant espresso

Example:

  • 1 packet 20/20 Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 5 chocolate covered almonds
  • 6oz water
  • 2oz leftover coffee
  • 5-6 ice cubes

1.) Blend all ingredients together on high until smooth
