Equipment, studios, and other areas are marked to ensure physical distancing, but we also require your cooperation in maintaining safe distances for the comfort of everyone.

WORKOUT ATTIRE:

Please arrive dressed in workout attire and bring your own towel and water bottle. At this time, locker room access is limited to restroom use except for the family locker rooms that require a shower prior to using the swimming pools. We are working with the Washington Fitness Alliance and the State to allow for more locker room amenities, which we expect to be approved soon.

Member Communication Shared on August 7, 2020.

Dear Members,

We are so happy to have welcomed many of you back to PRO Club for personal training, group fitness classes, swimming, camps and more. And now, with the new announcements by the State, we are thrilled to offer more opportunities for fitness. However, Governor Inslee has put a pause on racquetball and squash resulting in the closure of those services.

Beginning, August 10th, you may now enjoy independent workouts in our fitness centers with a few guidelines:

Reservations: Due to capacity limitations, a reservation is required to use PRO Club fitness centers, which will be available on Monday, August 10th on proclub.com. We have already been effectively utilizing a reservation system for group classes, tennis, and lap swimming. Dues must be activated to use the fitness centers.

Please note: The various StudioBookings reservations websites that we have implemented for group fitness, aquatics, camps, pickleball/badminton and fitness use a separate set of credentials that are created when you register on each of these sites. Your existing PROClub.com logon credentials will not work on these reservation websites.

Capacity Requirements: The new guidelines require 300 square feet per person in fitness centers. Based on our summer occupancy history prior to our closure, this should allow for most of our members to be able to access the club at their desired time. We will monitor the capacity limits through the reservation system and by our fitness specialists. Club hours may be expanded based on member usage.

Face Masks: Face masks are required at all times, unless engaged in physical exercise or while playing sports. Masks may be removed to exercise but must be worn immediately before and after exercise including while moving to another piece of equipment or fitness space.

Health Screening: All members and employees are health screened and temperature checked every time they enter the club.

Dues Activation: If you have not already re-activated your dues and would like to begin using the club for independent workouts, please e-mail membership at membership@proclub.com to re-activate your dues.

Locker Rooms: Current government guidelines only allow locker rooms to be open for restrooms and sinks except for showers for those utilizing our Aquatic Center.

RACQUET SPORTS

While Governor Inslee’s recent adjustments allow for more fitness spaces to open, unfortunately he has also instituted a pause on racquetball and squash courts. These courts will be closed for adult play.

CLEANLINESS – PRO CLUB CLEAN

As you know, PRO Club sets the standards of cleanliness with state-of-the-art technologies and industry leading cleaning methods, which have been the hallmark of PRO Club since its early beginnings. Over the past few years, we have invested $1 million dollars in cleaning technologies, which include:

Air Purification:

The AirPHX® patented air purification system continuously destroys viruses, and bacteria in the air and on the surfaces. These have been added to augment other member precautions, such as spraying and wiping machines before and after use.

Facility Team:

Our team of nearly 80 individuals continually monitors and maintains the facility cleanliness 24/7.

Robotic Sanitation:

Our UV sterilizing robots are used nightly to ensure our fitness spaces, studios and childcare are deep cleaned frequently.

UPCOMING – MORE TO LOOK FORWARD TO FROM PRO

As we navigate the ever-changing dynamic during this time, we are creatively looking for additional ways to meet the needs our members from more ways to use our expansive spaces (including outdoor) to childcare, remote learning assistance and mini-activity camps for kids. Plus, more virtual group fitness classes and programs. We will keep you updated as these new programs develop.

We are pleased to be your escape for a much-needed workout and are honored that PRO Club has become a safe space for many our members and families. THANK YOU for being a loyal member, and for standing by us during this difficult time and into the future. We look forward to seeing you back at PRO. Please e-mail membership at membership@proclub.com to re-activate your membership dues. If you have any further club questions, please e-mail procomments@proclub.com.

In Good Health,

Dick Knight, President

Dear Members & Families,

It’s been great to see many of our members in the club enjoying tennis, squash, swimming and getting some much needed pampering in the Spa & Salon. Plus, kids are active in summer camp and members are getting a great workout with our expert personal trainers.

We’re hopeful that Phase 3 will begin in a few weeks and we’ll be able to offer complete club access and increased capacities for classes to 50%.

In the meantime, we’re resuming a few more services that we’re excited to share.

NEW UPDATES

Group Fitness Classes

Beginning, Monday, July 13th, five-person group fitness classes will begin. This five person limit is currently the maximum allowed by state COVID-19 guidelines, and we realize that this is very limited access. However, we want to create whatever access is permitted. These classes require a reservation, which is available on our website or through the Studio Bookings app.

Available on the App Store.

Get it on the Google Play here.

You may find out more information here. To participate in classes, you must have reactivated your membership with dues. Classes are reserved for members only, age 14.

Small Group Supervised Workouts

Beginning, Monday, July 20th, you may reserve a time to exercise in a small group of five supervised by a fitness specialist. These sessions are designed for 30 minutes on cardio machines and 25 minutes of circuit style strength and are offered Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday, 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Reservations are required. You can schedule a reservation through the Studio Bookings app or website. There is no fee for the session, but you must re-activate your membership with dues to participate.

Pro Shop

Rediscover all your favorite fashion and workout apparel in the Pro Shop. Opens Monday, July 13th. Online orders and curbside pickup is also available for 20/20 LifeStyles protein shakes, protein bars, supplements, salon, spa and medical spa home care products.

Summer Camps

You may now register for summer camps online. Our camp lineup has been modified for smaller capacities and increased safety measures. Plus, if you sign up for two weeks or more, your child will receive a summer fun kit that includes a fanny pack, temperature changing water bottle, sunglasses and fun sticker.

HEALTH & SAFETY REMINDERS

Health Screenings

To ensure the health and safety of our members and staff, every person is health screened with a temperature check before entering the building.

Face Masks/ physical distancing

As mandated by the state, a face mask is required in all common areas including entering and exiting the building. Face masks are not required to wear in the fitness centers, group fitness studios, swimming or while playing a racquet sport. Our instructors, professionals and personal trainers will be wearing face masks while working withmembers in supervised instruction. We have also designated Cardio Theater as a face mask exercise zone for those who prefer exercising with others wearing a face mask. Fitness equipment and classes are set up to provide at least six feet of distancing between users.

Air Purification

As you know, PRO Club installed the patented AirPHX® air purifying system a year ago to kill airborne bacteria and viruses with no chemicals. AirPHX augments other precautions such as masks, physical distancing, spraying machines, and washing your hands. We have recently added more of these systems to our lobby, salon, locker rooms and other spaces.

MEMBERSHIP RE-ACTIVATION

If you’d like to re-activate your membership to enjoy tennis, squash, racquetball, swimming, group fitness or small group workouts, please contact membership at membership@proclub.com or call (425) 885-5566. Membership dues are not being charged during Phase 2, unless you are participating in a specified activity. Members may purchase personal training and summer camps without paying dues.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions which we can support you in answering. Additional information about our enhanced safety measures is available here.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Dick Knight, President.

Communication shared on May 5, 2020

We can’t wait to safely welcome back our PRO Club community as part of the phase two and three Washington state’s “Safe Start” re-opening plan. According to the current phasing outline, the phases relevant to PRO Club services appear to be the following:

Phase 2: The Salon & Spa, Medical Spa and Restaurants
Phase 3: Gyms & Recreational Facilities

Our medical essential business services that are currently open include Podiatry, Dermatology, Age Management and Counseling. Physical Therapy will start soon. 20/20 LifeStyles products and supplements and Spa/Medical Spa products are available for mail order.

When we are approved to open, we will announce our opening date(s), which will most likely be in phases. Although no official CDC guidelines have been published for our re-opening, we have been watching other parts of the country with similar services and are beginning to implement what we think will be necessary for re-opening. With this in mind, we are diligently working behind the scenes to prepare for the day when we will be able to restore club services with enhanced health and safety measures.

Here are some of the enhanced precautionary measures that you will notice when you return. These may be subject to change based on government regulations.

  • Daily screening of all PRO employees, members and guests prior to entering the building which include temperature checks.
  • Equipment Spacing & Floor Markings to ensure safe physical distancing.
  • Limited Group Fitness class sizes with online reservation, floor markings and designated enter/exit doors. We have adjusted class schedules to allow more time between classes for additional cleaning.
  • Virtual Group Fitness for members will continue beyond our closure in order to provide you with access to our super-star instructors. Plus, we’re working on upgrading your experience with new video services.
  • Personal Protective Equipment for employees. All PRO employees will be provided with face masks and gloves as needed.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for members – We’re still waiting to hear from the federal government whether members will need to wear a mask, which we will have available for purchase if you do not have your own.
  • PRO employees will be asked to stay home if they are feeling sick. All office spaces are being adjusted to provide safe physical distancing.
  • Plexiglass safety shields at high trafficked interactive desk spaces and service locations.
  • Touchless water faucets in all locker rooms and restrooms.

Our Compliance and Physician Team is tirelessly working on a more detailed list of safety adjustments by department that will be posted to our website soon. This includes modifications to childcare, summer camps and family activities so that we may accommodate as many members as possible in the safest environment. We will be sending out a survey to our family members to assess the demand and offerings that would be most beneficial to our members.

In addition to the above, PRO Club has always been at the forefront of cleanliness with our exemplary methods which ensure a surgical clean environment. It is and has always been our commitment to provide the highest level of safe and clean environments for our members, employees and guests.

These have included:

AirPHX™ Air Purifier: State-of-the-art disinfection system that ensures clean air circulates through our HVAC systems, which disinfects above and below surfaces on equipment, flooring, foam and tile. This eliminates over 30 common bacteria and viruses, along with the odors they cause to create a virtually germ-free environment. Plus, airPHX™ is chemical free-and 100 percent organic.

UV Sterilization Robots (AKA the Germinator): We use these robots to surgically sanitize our group fitness studios, exercise spaces and childcare areas each night.

White Equipment with Sanitation Spray Bottles: PRO Club equipment is pristine white so you can see how clean we are. Each piece of equipment has its own clean towels and spray cleaner, towels are constantly refreshed.

24/7 Cleaning Team: Over eighty employees make up our maintenance team who work around the clock to monitor the club’s cleanliness.

UV Triple Filtration Pools: Extensive filtration keeps our four pools incomparably clean, clear and healthy. First water is cleaned through sand filtration, followed by cloth filters and finally a UV light system to eliminate all bacteria and viruses. Chemicals are computer monitored and checked every 10 seconds.

Hand Sanitizer: An abundance of hand sanitizer bottles and dispensing units have always been in place for personal protection.

It is our ultimate goal to make you feel safe and re-assured that we have a well thought out approach to restoring our services. Please let us know if there is anything we have not thought of that you are most concerned with returning safely to the club via e-mail to procomments@proclub.com.

We are crossing our fingers that we will soon be able to say, “Welcome Back!” In the meantime, THANK YOU for your support and encouragement with your continued membership.

Dear Valued Members,

At the guidance from the State of Washington, PRO Club facilities are temporarily closed until April 1st. The good news is we have not received any information to indicate that any individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been in our facilities.

All PRO Club employees will be paid and will remain employed by PRO Club during this break. PRO Club employs nearly 900 individuals. Thank you to the many people who have expressed concern regarding the financial stability of our employees.

While we are closed to the public, we will be taking further steps to elevate our PRO Club clean measures, facility maintenance, and operational improvements to make PRO Club better than ever for when we re-open.

The following are updates to a few services:

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

We are working to film our instructors teaching your favorite classes and will post them to Facebook and YouTube soon. Plus, many of our instructors and trainers are posting at-home workouts on their personal Facebook pages to help you stay active while at home.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Our personal trainers are available for virtual workouts and guidance by e-mail. Now is a great time to get your cardio workouts in with outdoor runs/walks, hikes, bicycling, etc. We’re lucky to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

DIETITIAN SESSIONS

For members who are in the 20/20 program or have scheduled dietitian services, please expect a phone call from your provider to make arrangements for phone or virtual appointments through Telehealth.

COUNSELING SESSIONS

The Counseling Center is not restricted by the government to close and this facility is located outside the PRO Club facility, therefore all appointments are available as scheduled.

COURT RESERVATIONS

If you are racquet sports player at PRO Club Bellevue, reservations may be taken up to three days in advance. We will re-open court reservations upon confirmation of the approved opening date.

Thank you for being a loyal member. It is our intent to remain as transparent as possible as we navigate through an uncertain and rapidly changing environment. As things evolve, we will continue to post updates at proclub.com, social media and via e-mail.

We are honored to be a part of your healthy lifestyle. As always, you may contact me directly with any questions and I will answer every message personally and as quickly as possible. PRO Club UPDATES: March 16th, 2020 1:45 PM

The club will be closing today at 2 PM.

All medical appointments will continue through the day. Medical departments will be reaching out directly to their patients.

A full update is to come.

Communication shared on March 15th, 2020 10:00 PM

Dear PRO Club members:

Governor Inslee has issued an order through Twitter that will close all health clubs in the state starting Monday, March 16th, through at least March 31 due to Covid-19. There appears to be a press conference scheduled for Monday morning to explain some of the details. We do not currently know what time this press conference is scheduled.

PRO will close all clubs after confirmation from the press conference and update this message accordingly.

Individual workouts and spa and medical services will be allowed on Monday until confirmation of this order is heard on the press conference, but group fitness classes are canceled and youth camps are canceled. It is possible that some services could remain open, pending details.

Since the Counseling Center is outside the main building of Bellevue, Counseling Services will continue. Our licensed childcare center (Discovery Bay) will remain open at least for Monday.

Dick Knight
President
