PRP & PRF Treatments for Hair and Skin

PRP is an amazing treatment to help treat hair loss, and skin problems by using factors that promote cell growth.

The Medical Spa at PRO Medical is now introducing PRF, the advanced version of PRP.

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a component of your own blood. It contains special “factors,” or proteins, that promote healing, cell growth, and even help your blood to clot. When PRP is isolated from blood, its amazing healing properties can be directed to areas of the face, hair, and more.

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

Simply put, PRF is the more advanced version of PRP. By containing the additional fibrin matrix component, it allows for a longer timed release over a few days. PRP, when done, is released over a few hours. PRF leads to less downtime and improved results.

What is it used for?

PRP and PRF have been used for years in a variety of medical settings. At PRO Medical Spa, this safe and effective treatment is used to boost collagen, improve skin texture, and stimulate growth factors. It’s recommend with treatments in conjunction with Microneedling, alongside facial fillers and Botox, and even as a hair restoration treatment for thinning hair.

PRP and Microneedling

Patients have experienced great results when we combine PRF with Microneedling for acne scarring, enlarged pores, fine lines, and aging skin. Patients also love to use PRF after resurfacing treatments, such as HALO, for maximized results and to promote quicker healing.

PRP with Botox and Fillers

Used in conjunction with these treatments, PRF can help further rejuvenate the face by stimulating collagen production to refresh and renew the skin. Learn more about Botox and filler treatments here.

Hair Restoration with PRP

Hair regrowth and thickening from PRP treatments have been shown effective for a variety of ages and hair types.

What can I expect?

The after-care and experience will vary from procedure to procedure. However, one of the many benefits of PRF and PRP treatments that patients report is the minimal downtime and discomfort.

As with all cosmetic treatments, a complimentary consultation at the Medical Spa is a fantastic way to see if you are a candidate for PRF.
